What's the best way for a C-List celeb to get their name in the press? Deny a pregnancy rumor that no one was aware of. E! correspondent Giuliana Rancic (formerly DePandi) is squelching "rumors" that her and her husband, season-one Apprentice winner Bill Rancic, are expecting a baby.
The only thing is, there doesn't seem to be any rumor to begin with - a Google search only turns up stories citing Giuliana's denials, and none that contain an actual story about her being pregnant. I think I hear the thud of somebody's publicist getting the boot.
Giuliana claims fellow E! host Ryan Seacrest started the rumor. "[Ryan] probably started telling people, 'Oh, so many people around the office are pregnant, so and so, and me! And now when I do get pregnant, no one will care."
Now, that one's too easy.
