According to CNN a teenager on board a Southwest Airline flight out of LA, flight number 284 bound for Nashville, planned to hijack the plane and crash it into a Lafayette, LA, building where a "Hannah Montana" concert
was scheduled to be performed. The report claims
he had planned to use handcuffs, duct tape and rope that he had with him on the plane.
The kid has been placed
under arrest. According to television reports he is being held on numerous charges. Sources also claim that he had a mock airplane cockpit in his bedroom, which speculates that he may have been training for the act.
Perez Hilton reports that some information is apparently being withheld because he is a minor.
It's still unclear how authorities uncovered the plot, but a
spokesperson for Southwest airlines says that at no time was the flight
ever in any danger.
