Heath Ledger Died of Natural Causes?

Posted by Sassy Smith

TMZ is reporting that actor Heath Ledger may have died of natural causes - although only 28, it's certainly possible.  They said:

It sounds strange, but sources intimately connected with the Heath Ledger investigation tell TMZ it's possible the actor died of natural causes.

The reason they think that -- it's now appearing that the level of toxicity (from medication) in Ledger's system was low enough that it may not have caused his death. These sources say Heath's heart stopped. It could have been a heart attack but it's not certain, at least not yet. Although it's bizarre that a 28-year-old could die of natural causes, it happens.

I hope when the full toxicology reports come back, that there are answers, obviously for his family's sake.  It would be awful to have to live with the uncertainly of what really happened especially for his loved ones.

I wonder if it could have been long QT syndrome?  That got the husband of a friend of mine - apparently the heart just randomly stops and it's a genetic defect so it can afflict people of any age.

There were cold meds, sleeping meds and antidepressants in his rooms. Th ecombination could easily induce respiratory failure.  They just stop breathing.  Cold meds are notorious for killing the young and healthy when combined with other meds.  That is what happened to River Phoenix.  Killed by Sudafed.

Cassie, you're kidding, right? River Phoenix collapsed after a night of doing crystal meth and cocaine highballs; if he popped a sudafed beforehand, it probably just gave him more room to snort up his drugs. Don't get me wrong, Phoenix's death was a tragedy - he was an immensely talented actor - but it wasn't due to cold medicine.

My guess is his body was just so worn down from dealing with previous drug addictions, being a chain smoker, insomnia, and, at the time of his death, a bout of pneumonia.  Those things took their toil.  Then top it off with Ambien, which as I have heard, is a very serious sleep aid that requires the user to be closely monitored as (in extreme cases) it can cause heart and respitory failure.  (Someone please correct me if I am wrong.) The sleep aid did not solely kill him, but it was the final straw to an already weakened system.  He went to sleep and never woke up.

I myself have long q-t and I have been online posting it to CNN /FOX/ MSNBC and etc.. to no avail. It actually has different mutations and one form is medication induced acquired long q-t where there is no genetic issue to it, but with the wrong drug combo your heart just stops. I've had it happen and know people who have dropped dead, usually youths and teens frm it. Either way, it's sad that the media gives it no attention.
