What could be more heartbreaking than a sweet little girl crying out for her daddy? Heath Ledger's two-year-old daughter Matilda has been asking for daddy and her mom Michelle Williams is doing her best to shelter her.
Star magazine reported that Michelle was woken at 1a.m. by a knock at her hotel room door and given the tragic news about Ledger's death. A hotel source said, "Michelle was stunned at first; she didn't seem to take it in. Then she began weeping and gasped, 'No, no! Please tell me this is a bad dream.'
"She had stopped crying, but her eyes were red and puffy."
You know, it's such a double edged sword - Matilda is only 2, so on one hand, she's too young to even realize what's going on, although she misses her daddy. And yet, the fact that she IS only two, means she won't remember her dad, only what she hears from her mom and family members. While I'm quite certain they will keep his memory alive in her, and part of Heath is ingrained in his little girl - but it's not the same thing as actually having her daddy in her life.
