The results of Heath Ledger's autopsy and toxicology tests were due to be released today, but sources say that these have been delayed.
Scopical News reports that The New York Medical Examiner's office has said that it was set to
provide the results from the tests today, however that this had been delayed by
24-hours. No reason for the delay has been reported, but a representative from the office said that the report would be released tomorrow.
An initial autopsy of the actor found the cause of his death to be
inconclusive, with further tests of tissue and toxicology samples
conducted in the last two weeks. There's been rampant speculation that the actor died of some sort of drug overdose, accidental or otherwise, but his family and friends have vehemently denied that this is possible.
Whatever the case, we should know tomorrow. For better or worse.
