Lipstick Jungle vs. Cashmere Mafia: Will Brooke Sheilds Come Out On Top?

Lipstick Jungle premieres tomorrow night and it's being compared to Cashmere Mafia.  LJ stars mommy Brooke Sheilds and is the product of a breakup between two television bosses who couldn't see eye to eye in real life.

Author of Sex in The City, Candace Bushnell and producer of Sex In The City Darren Star were working on a show together and couldn't agree -- the two split and Star went on to create Cashmere Mafia.

While the shows are similar, critics are projecting Lipstick Jungle will come out on top, claiming Cashmere Mafia to be too disconnected, while LJ's characters develop over the first few episodes and we the audience, will care what happens to them.

I already watch CM, but will be tuning into LJ as well.  We'll see what happens!

I've reading others opinions and it sounds like CM might be the favorite. Unfortunately, I'm also hearing the dialogue isn't that strong. I hope that isn't the case.

I watched LJ tonight and so far, CM is my favorite. That could be because I have only seen on episode of LJ. Who knows?

CM is just soooo much better than LJ. I kept reading that LJ would blow CM out of the water - all i can hope is that these reviewers saw something that I didnt. Cashmere Mafia has amazing fashion - i want most of the clothes they were - and lol keep seeing girls trying to mimic the styles within days of the show (LJ i only coveted one item the whole show (fluffy pink dress)). I also like the womens lives in CM better - i like the fact that it is more career life based than SATC was. Totally love the show and my girlfriends and i are already planning CM nights!
