Michelle Williams is mourning the loss of Heath Ledger, her ex fiance and father to her daughter. That also means she has to be both "mom" and "dad" to her little girl. Michelle will have to be strong during this difficult time and as Matilda gets older, she'll have lots of questions to answer. Right now, Matilda is only two and obviously not able to grasp the situation.
A friend to Williams said to Us Weekly, "Michelle was always really vulnerable, so this has shaken her quite a bit. She's mourning and trying to figure out what to do next."
"Michelle and the family are showering Matilda with love right now to cushion it so she isn't really aware. Michelle basically told Matilda, 'Daddy went away.' Matilda still doesn't grasp it."
Heath and Matilda were often seen walking around New York, Matilda perched on her daddy's shoulders. Sad that Heath's little girl will never experience that again.
