We speculated about this weeks ago, and then kinda gave it up for dead, but it appears that the Britney-Adnan marriage rumor might have some legs.
We said, way back in January, that a Mexican wedding between the world's favorite trainwreck and her paparazzo beau was an interesting possibility, but unlikely because of the small detail that Adnan was, you know, still married to someone else. But Star Magazine is running fresh with this rumor, and has even put it on its upcoming cover. Their take? So what if he was married - "anything goes in Britney's mad, mad world!"
Gatecrasher spoke directly to Star editors, and insists that there's actual evidence to support the story:
The glossy says she "secretly wed" lens-lizard Adnan Ghalib during
the visit - which is legally meaningless, as he has not yet divorced
his previous wife, AzLynn Berry.
Star ed Candace Trunzo tells me:
"Our source on this was not in Rosarito Beach at the ceremony, but is
very familiar with the fact that [wedding] documents exist."

interestingly, the mag says Spears gave Ghalib $250,000 to grease
AzLynn's exit. She allegedly told her lawyers, who had imposed a
grand-a-day spending limit, that she needed the cash for a new Mercedes.
Wow. Illicit weddings *and* divorce bribery! Sounds right up Britney's alley...
