Michael Lohan, Lindsay Lohan's sometimes-estranged father, claims that Lindsay is taking the same prescription drugs that killed Heath Ledger, and that he's worried for her life.
He told InTouch Magazine that "even before Heath's death, I told Lindsay that I'm very
concerned about the pills she's taking," noting that she is or has been on Oxycontin for pain, Adderall for Attention Deficit Disorder
(ADD), Xanax for depression and anxiety and Ambien for insomnia.
He added that he is "not only fearful for
Lindsay, but for all the other kids out there. Most of these young
people shouldn't be on some of these medications - instead, they should
get spiritual guidance, counselling and exercise... These new drugs get into their bones and bloodstreams and they have
to detox to get off them or they can have seizures or possibly die."
Lindsay, of course, doesn't see herself as facing any of these problems: "It's so tragic what just recently happened to Heath," she said during her recent nudie photo-shoot (evoking - ironically? - Marilyn Monroe's last photo shoot before her death from overdose of prescription drugs.) "But I sure as hell
wouldn't let it happen to me."
