Federal authorities are investigatign the doctors who prescribed drugs to Heath Ledger. Ledger - who left behind a two-year old daughter, Matilda - died earlier this year as the result of a toxic combination of prescription narcotics.
According to People.com:
Doctors in California and Texas are under investigation by federal drug authorities in the matter of Heath Ledger's death...
“We are investigating doctors in Los Angeles and Texas with regard to Ledger’s prescriptions,” a source tells PEOPLE.
However,
the source did not say whether any wrongdoing is involved, saying, “We
don’t know yet. The agents were there this week, and we are waiting to
hear from them.”
It's about time. I mean, it seems likely that somebody screwed up somewhere if Heath was taking toxic combinations of prescription drugs. And that's a screw-up that nobody wants to see repeated.
