Not that he is normally mean or anything, but the whole Becks and Posh thing gets so overblown that it would be easy for David Beckham to believe the hype like the rest of us do (with all apologies to Public Enemy) and put himself above the little people.  It happens.

Beckham traveled to Shanghai with the L.A. Galaxy for an exhibition match with the local club, and rather than sit back and practice pouty faces in the mirror all day he paid a visit to leukemia patients at the Xinhua Hospital.  I can only assume that he, like myself and pretty much every parent I've ever met, has a terrible ache in him at the sight of sick kids, not that non-parents are stoic in the matter, but being able to equate something so scary to your own children, that is just gut-wrenching.

Apparently his arrival caused such a commotion that the hospital had to shut down a wing for a couple of hours and cancel a donation ceremony.  People went all kinds of crazy.

Still, it was worth it, just look at these faces- not a pouty one in the bunch.
