Ginger Spice (Geri Halliwell) of Spice Girls fame has reportedly "cured" a young stroke victim!
Jessica Knight, 14, was left in a coma after she had been stabbed repeatedly and subsequently suffered a stroke. The teenager was clinging to life when Geri Halliwell made a surprise visit to see the young girl - she had been contacted by one of Jessica's family members as they were performing in the same city. Geri wanted to to help Jessica in some way - so she sang.
Jessica's mom Jill Walmsley said:
"Geri sang a couple of lines of one of their songs and Jessica started moving her arms and legs. It was amazing. We were all in fits of giggles because we were so relieved and it wass just so funny seeing her legs move to Geri's singing. The next day, she opened her eyes for the first time. You just don't expect to be sitting in the hospital and for Geri Halliwell to walk in. She gave me a big hug and said that Jessica's story had really touched her."
Young Jessica had been scheduled to see the Spice Girls perform two days after she was attacked and when she finally woke up, she didn't believe that one of her idols had some to see her.
"When I told her Geri had been to visit her, she looked stunned and said, 'No way!' " Ms Walmsley said. Geri left the girl a wristband from the Spice Girls concert as a momento.
Jessica is now on the mend and hoping to be home soon.
What a story - sounds like perhaps a miracle at work!
