The National Enquirer is reporting that Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are in a dispute over daughter Suri's birthday party.  

Tom wants to spend $500,000 on the party for his daughter but Holmes is allegedly protesting that amount of money is way over the top. 

"Tom is out to make Suri’s second birthday a spectacle like no other child has ever had," a source is quoted as saying.

The insider added: "Katie believes wholeheartedly it would set a bad example. She doesn’t want her daughter to be a spoiled Beverly Hills rich kid who expects the biggest and the best for the rest of her life... She’s all for a nice party, but nothing ostentatious."

US reports claim Cruise wants to bring in an international cuisine, with a $60,000 cake, and acrobats from Cirque de Soleil costing $100,000.  At least that's less than his birthday party.

Has anyone seen the easy breezy Katie Holmes from a mere few years ago?  This fembot is malfunctioning!
