I'm not sure if you've heard, but word is that some little-known singer named Miley Cyrus is very popular with the kids these days.  Cyrus, 15, took home two trophies at Saturday's Kids Choice Awards - one for favorite female singer and another for favorite TV actress for her role in Disney's Hannah Montana.

For those of you over the age of 12, the Kids Choice Awards is the hip, cool awards show put on by Nickelodeon that features such spectacles as a burping contest and celebrities getting covered in green slime.  Halfway through the show my 9-year-old turned to me and said, "This is waaay better than the Oscars." and you know what? I'd have to agree.
