Charlton Heston Lays Down His Guns, For Good

Posted by HerBadMother

I'm no great fan of Charlton Heston's. I've never seen Planet of the Apes, and I don't own a gun, so there's really never been anything for me to get all fanned up about, with the possible exception of his portrayal of Moses, which, when you think about it, wasn't all that great anyway, what with his overt WASPiness and the lame special effects and all. Still, his death is a sad thing. He was someone's dad, and someone's grandpa, and I'm sure that his family doesn't give two hoots about whether Grampy was a tad too enthusiastic about the guns.

So, RIP Mr. Heston.  Godspeed to Heaven and all.

wow way to insult a deadman. who cares that he supported a controversial cause or that he was in "lame" movies made back when they didn't have CGI and all but seriously the crack about his religion and where he is going in the here after is a little uncalled for.

I disagree Justsaying..Mr Heston was a very powerful lobbier for a cause which is linked to many deaths in America.

It is easier to get a gun than a drivers license in most states thanks to the nra, and that is this man's dying legacy.

People kill people gun, knife, draino you still end up dead if someone tries hard enough but that is not the point the point is making fun of the dead and making assumptions about where he ended up and joking about it.

Relax Justsaying...I'm sure the author is really sorry for assuming Heston went to Heaven.  The audacity.
