Sounds like a movie title, doesn't it? Well it's Rob Lowe's reality right now. The actor is suing two former nannies and a chef for trying to extort money out of him and his wife.
The Huffington Post recently published Lowe's story regarding the matter, in which he described one nanny of trying to "attempt to damage and humiliate" his family. From the story:
A former employee is demanding my wife Sheryl and I pay her $1.5 million by the end of the week or she will accuse us both of a vicious laundry list of false terribles. It is an attempt to damage and humiliate not only my wife and me, but our two young sons as well. My family is devastated at this betrayal; this woman worked in our home and traveled with us off and on for seven years, without complaint. In fact, she left other jobs to return to work for us three different times. Several weeks ago she quit abruptly, leaving us without a replacement.
Lowe goes on to share text messages from the nanny, and it's clear that she is a few towels short of a linen closet now that she is suddenly crying abuse. Lowe is clearly concerned for his wife and especially, his two young children.
It is indeed a pretty sad state of affairs when someone decides to sue merely for financial gain. We live in such a litigous society and the true victims are getting the raw end of the deal.
