Teri Hatcher Channels Carrie Underwood, World Goes Deaf

From the files of "when will this woman go away?" Teri Hatcher performed "Before He Cheats" after acting badly in a poorly written skit with Carrie and James Denton.  Who writes this crap?  Worse, who let's Teri Hatcher make an ass of herself on television?  

Oh right, it's American Idol's "Idol Gives Back."  Well can American Idol give back 3 minutes of my life? 

Get some Kleenex, your ears are about to bleed if you hit play (below the jump).  UGH.

I showed this to my husband, who as you know has a boner for Snatcher, but I thought, there's no way in hell he's going to like her performance.  Ha, I was sadly mistaken.  He defended her - oh she stayed in key the whole time (ah what?), well she's not a professional singer (no shit, so why is she singing in public?), she did pretty well considering she's had no formal training (did pretty well making my ears DIE), I thought she did fine (yes because she makes you hot, which makes a difference - had she been 300lbs, hairy and had rotten teeth, you'd not thought "she did pretty well").  Men.
