So Miley's been getting raunchy again. AWESOME. This time, it's pics of her laying topless in bed with some anonymous guy*, and flashing her boobies on a webcam.
As the mother of a preschool girl, I am terrified of Miley Cyrus. Terrified. She's a mother's worst nightmare: reassuringly adorable and goody-goody on the outside; distressingly in touch with her inner bad girl on the inside. She's the kind of girl who sits down to milk and cookies with her parents before bedtime, and then sneaks out the window to go clubbing - or posts semi-naked pictures of herself to MySpace - the minute the bedroom door closes.
To wit: her latest series of candid photos, in which she lays seductively atop some anonymous teenage boy (small mercies that he seems to be her age), baring her belly, and in which she indulges in a litte coy booby-flashing.

Seriously. This is the kind of stuff that will make a parent CRAZY. It's one thing for a girl to be overt in her sexuality - it might make me nervous, as a mother, but I don't want my duaghter to learn that sex is bad - but it's quite another to play madonna/whore in one's teen years. I want to know if my daughter is into, um, free expression of her sexuality. I don't want to walk around deluded about her innocence (because, let's be frank, every parent, somewhere deep down, wants to believe that their child is innocent. Neutered, even.) only to discover that oh, hey, her boobies are all over the internet!
I actually feel sorry for Billy Ray Cyrus in this moment, I really do. Which is possibly more disturbing than anything that I've said above.
*head explodes*
*(Anonymous Guy might actually be this fanboy, from her Fan Gallery)
