Alex Rodriguez and his wife have welcomed their second child, a baby girl.

Rodriguez, who was recently injured, to a leave from the Yankees to be with his wife, Cynthia, when she gave birth Monday night in Miami.

"We are thrilled with the birth of our second daughter and the blessing of having two beautiful, healthy children in our lives," Rodriguez said in a statement.
