Suri Cruise turned two on April 18 - and most toddlers would be happy with a trip to Chuck E. Cheese.  Suri's parents - Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes - obviously felt that spending $100,000 on a party for a barely out of diapers child is normal.

Here's a run-down of the details:

There were 24 of their closest friends and family invited to the bash - obviously Tom's older kids with Nicole Kidman - were present.  The party "theme" was butterflies, which Suri apparently loves. Tom filled their home with $17,000 worth of fresh flowers.

A source told In Touch, "It was immediate family and their closest friends only.  There were no celebrities invited to the daytime bash."

A reported $5,000 on cakes from LA's Sweet Lady Jane bakery - each guest received a personalized cake.  Suri's personal cake was a four-tiered confection, decorated with white buttercream frosting and was adorned with sugar-pasted bumblebees and butterflies.  A party guest said, "All of the cakes were Italian-wedding flavored, but specifically made without the usual rum.  Obviously they wanted them non-alcoholic since Suri is only 2."  Duh.

Having five grand worth of cakes apparently wasn't enough, because Cruise ordered $230 worth of cupcakes from LA bakery Sprinkles - Katie is a big fan of the tiny treats.

The catering - done by Wolfgang Puck - according to another source was more than $45,000.  That includes another party Tom had hosted, which included some of their celebrity friends.

"It was a great party," says a party-goer. "Suri was in a really great mood and loved having all the balloons around.”

Ya, celebrities are just like us.
