Former Yankees pitcher Roger Clemens reportedly had a decade-long affair with troubled country music star Mindy McCready, beginning when the singer was just 15. The affair began when McCready was a teenager working in a karaoke bar and Clemens was a 28-year-old married father of two. The baseball star admits to having a long-term relationship with McCready, but through his lawyer says the relationship was "not sexual." Okay.
The Daily News, which broke the story, claimed McCready frequently accompanied Clemens to his games and partied with him with the likes of Monica Lewinsky and Michael Jordan. The tabloid claims the singer even hid declarations of love to Clemens in the liner notes of her albums.
McCready has had a string of legal problems in the past few years including arrests for drug possession, identity theft and battery. Clemens is having his own problems; he's currently under investigation for perjury for his testimony to Congress regarding his alleged steroid use.
Clemens has four sons and McCready has a two-year old son - looks like they'll have plenty of stories to tell their kids, beyond the Grand Ole Opry and grand slams...
