Why did Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt name their daughter Shiloh?
According to US Weekly, Angie used to call herself "Shiloh Baptist" as an alias, when she wanted to make hotel reservations or book a table at a restaurant. She stopped using that name after her daughter was born - most likely because people would figure out Shiloh Baptist was Angelina Jolie.
Jolie's brother, James Haven has previously said that his parents had wanted to give him the name Shiloh as a middle name but instead chose Haven. He was asked by sister Angie and Brad if it would be ok if they named their child Shiloh - he said it would be an honor if they did.
I think it's a great name, although when I first heard it, I wasn't crazy about it (like it's my business you know), but it is pretty.
