Rumors are swirling that Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon were married on Wednesday in a small ceremony on an island. Of course, the impulsive nuptials could only mean one thing, right? Mariah is pregnant. Either that or they just decided to have an impulsive, small wedding ceremony on an island. But don't rain on my parade, people.
The two have been dating since rapper-actor Cannon, 27, directed Carey's video for her single "Bye Bye" in March. Mariah, 38, sparked engagement rumors last week when she was seen flashing a hugh rock on her left ring finger.
Adding fuel to the fire are a series of cryptic updates that Carey's nephew, Shawn McDonald posted to his Facebook page earlier in the week:
4/27 – Shawn is going to the Bahamas for a week early tuesday AM.
4/28– Shawn is looking forward to this week, but quite curious as to how things will shake out next week...
4/30 – Shawn is a witness.
If the marriage rumors are true, the quickie nature of the ceremony would be out of character for Carey who was previously wed to music mogul Tommy Mottolla in a huge lavish ceremony.
