Liv Tyler and her husband of five years, rocker Royston Langdon have separated. "Liv Tyler and Royston Langdon have confirmed their separation," their rep said in a statement.

"They remain good friends and devoted parents to their son Milo and are requesting that their family's privacy be respected at this time," the rep added. 

Tyler, daughter of Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler, and Langdon have a son Milo, 3. 

Rumors of a split surfaced recently when the Lord of the Rings actress was spotted house hunting in NYC and sources said she had moved out of the couple's townhome. Speculation was fueled further earlier this week when Tyler arrived solo at the Met Costume Institute Gala and was photographed without her wedding ring on.  I guess you would call that a jewelry malfunction.
