Here's a feel-good story that warmed my cold, shriveled up heart this morning: Willie Garson, who played Carrie Bradshaw's gay friend on Sex and The City, has adopted a son.
Back in January, Garson told People he was taking parenting classes and now he's "almost done" with the adoption process.
“It’s a big deal,” the unattached actor, 44, says. “It’s a big decision.”
He says the process wasn’t easy. “You know what, it should be
difficult,” he adds. “It’s not like buying a suit or another pair of
glasses.”
So will there be playdates with other famous celeb offspring?
Perhaps. “If I like their kids,” he jokes, adding, “My kid’s going to
be the coolest.”
He's right. It SHOULD be difficult. I wish more parents were this serious about having children. Good luck Willie!
