I guess people weren't paying attention when I mentioned that Angelina Jolie has big guns and not afraid to use them. Be afraid, very afraid! Now, Angie and her family are upset and offended by Disney. Brad and Angelina have a very diverse household and they feel that different cultures should be addressed and featured in children's films and television shows.
Angie and her girls, Zahara and Shilon have reportedly been "left upset by Disney because none of their movies feature African princesses." Brangelina want Disney to become more diverse in their projects.
OK! quotes Angelina, "(So) even the colour of the children in the cartoon matters.
"There still isn't a Disney princess that's African and it's very difficult because our daughters' getting into princesses right now and it upsets me."
Well, not to fret Angie, because Disney has a new movie coming out and it does feature an African princess! It's titled The Frog Princess and the title character "Maddy," is the first featured black princess in a Disney animated film (voiced by Anika Noni Rose). Hopefully it'll be out soon! About time!
