Gwyneth Paltrow's Traumatic Experience

Posted by Sassy Smith

Gwyneth Paltrow has had a recent emotional transition - a traumatic experience if you will.  No, she's not reminiscing about the birth of her two children, Apple and Moses.  It's something far more difficult than childbirth!  It's something that a lot of women have issues with - it's not only a physical part of us, but takes on an emotional aspect too.

Gwyneth cut her hair.  Shorter.  And she viewed it as emotional because she had the hair (longer) since before her father's death.  I wonder if she clipped her fingernails too?

She had started growing her hair before her dad Bruce Paltrow passed away in 2002 and before she married and had children.

The 32-year-old actress tells Harper's Bazaar July 2008 issue,, "I was very, very attached to my hair.  I grew it when I was pregnant.  I still had hair from when my father was alive.  I made it like a talisman.  And then I was ready to let go of it, and so I chopped it off and....aaah!"

I hope Gwyneth has moved on with her new, shorter do and can perhaps think of her dad without thinking of her hair.  Huh?  I know, I'm not getting it either.
