Larry Birkhead and his daughter Dannielynn are leaving L.A.! I think it's about time. Dannielynn, 21-months-old, is a beautiful little girl and what parent wouldn't want to show her off to the world? However, Birkhead seemed to take that literally, and constantly puts his daughter out there, always inviting certain 'entertainment' shows along to whatever function he was taking her to. Hopefully Dannielynn can grow up somewhat normally despite who her famous mother is (the late Anna Nicole Smith) and all the tragedy that has followed her around. I'm sure Larry is a loving father and does want to give his girl the best possible life. The father and daughter duo are heading to Louisville, Ky.
Larry tells PEOPLE, that he has bought a 10,000-sq-ft. home, that boasts six bedrooms, 40-ft ceilings and is modeled after a Sicilian church. It's not completed and needs plenty of hard work and according to Birkhead, "looks like a haunted house," but he loves it.
"When I walked in, I said to myself, 'This is our home!'"
He said he'll probably sell the Los Angeles home because it's got too many memories of Anna Nicole and her late son, Daniel, who both passed away from drug-lated complications.
He said, "At first, I couldn't imagine parting with it. Then I realized I was probably holding on to it for the wrong reasons, thinking to myself that would ease the pain of losing Anna and Daniel. I have always thought that it would be great for Dannielynn to grow up in her mother's home; however, there is no yard as it is over a canyon.
"There also isn't any little friends for her to run around with – which makes the idea of Kentucky even more inviting."
Dannielynn needs little friends Larry, for sure!
