Houston Rocket Shane Battier and his wife Heidi welcomed their first baby, Zeke, on June 2nd.
The couple held out for the big surprise and didn't know the gender of the baby until the delivery, which is awesome. Says Shane, "We promised each other that we would not find out what sex the baby was going to be. We figured that this is one of nature's great surprises and we wanted the anticipation of not knowing whether or not we were having a boy or a girl. When Zeke finally popped out, I lost control of my emotions and cried for five minutes. I was just so happy that my child was here and that Zeke was a happy (and big!) boy."
