Hollywood cutie Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal have been a couple for awhile now, and there was even some speculation that she might be pregnant. Jake has said he wants to get married soon so they can expand their family - Reese has two children with Ryan Philippee. There was just one little obstacle in the way for Reese and Jake to begin their life together...
Reese wasn't officially divorced from Ryan, however that is not the case now. Their divorce became final on Thursday after settling their monetary details. Witherspoon had filed for divorce in October of 2006, citing irreconcilable differences and a preliminary divorce status was granted at that time.
The couple share custody of Ava, 8, and Deacon, 4. It's sad to see couples split up but they've both since moved on and seem happy. Ryan is dating actress Abbie Cornish.
So now that Reese is free to marry someone else, maybe we'll be hearing the jingle of wedding bells soon? Oh, and the pitter patter of little feet!
