Tom Cruise Is Crazy – Dr Said So
Tom Cruise, husband, actor, father, and apparently, mental patient, who suffers from childhood neglect and experiences deep emptiness. Well, we’ve certainly seen Cruise act a bit strangely in public, at times, making us wonder what he’s truly thinking. That’s for sure. However, to say the guy suffers from a true mental illness, well, unless we’ve personally treated him or anyone for that matter, then it’s hard to say that for sure. But, Dr. Drew Pinsky (Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew) certainly thinks Tom is off his rocker. He said of Tommy…
“A lot of people in the public eye, who behave strangely have mental illness we can learn from, and much of it based on childhood trauma, without a doubt. Take a guy like Tom Cruise. Why would somebody be drawn into a cultish kind of environment like Scientology? To me, that’s a function of a very deep emptiness and suggests serious neglect in childhood – maybe some abuse, but mostly neglect.”
Yikes! I’m pretty sure Dr. Drew hasn’t actually seen or treated Tom in any way. Now, here’s some back and forth, which may or may not be complicated to follow:
Tom’s response, through his lawyer:
Pinsky was referred to as an, ”unqualified television performer who is obviously just looking for notoriety,” adding, “The last time we heard garbage like this was from Joseph Goebbels.” (Goebbels was a Nazi propagandist.)
Dr. Drew then issued a sort of apology through his rep:
“Dr. Drew meant no harm to Mr. Cruise and apologizes if his comments were hurtful.”
And then, Bert Field’s, Cruise’s attorney, also said:
Pinsky is a “posturing flake,” who “pretends to diagnose people he’s never met.”
Dr. Drew’s rep, said:
“Although Mr. Field’s intent is clearly to slander and discredit Dr. Drew, under no circumstances is Dr. Drew making a blanket diagnosis about Scientology nor Mr. Cruise whom he does not know. Dr. Drew was simply using Mr. Cruise as an example of someone who is recognizable to help the public understand. Again, Dr. Drew meant him no harm.”
Okay, Tom, your turn! Wow.
I don’t know if Tom is crazy or not – maybe he is, maybe he isn’t. Does stalking someone put you on the nuts list?
