Joel Madden jokingly posted on his blog that he and baby mama Nicole Richie got married over the weekend (to get back at Star mag), by saying: WE DID IT!! NICOLE AND I FINALLY GOT MARRIED!! He then put up a photo of two apes in wedding attire - which, you have to admit, is pretty funny. However, if Nicole wants to tie the knot for realz with her Good Charlotte rocker man, he's got one stipulation for her: FIND GOD!
According to the National Enquirer, a source said: "Joel is determined not to marry Nicole until she asks for forgiveness for her sins and is willing to raise Harlow with the same religious upbringing he had.
"Joel regularly went to church as a child and believes God has made him who he is today. As much as Joel loves Nicole he feels their marriage would never work unless they are on the same page with their religious beliefs. Bottom line, he wants a Christian family."
Who knew a tattooed rocker would be so into God? And speaking of tattoos - many of Joel's are religious in nature.
The insider added: "Joel may look like a rebel rocker, but he is an old-fashioned conservative with hardcore Christian beliefs. The Bible is a big part of his life, so much so that he has a tattoo of Jesus and a Sacred Heart on his arm."
Nicole has apparently started researching and learning about Christianity - so maybe there really will be wedding bells soon! And considering the new mom is pregnant (maybe) again, they might want to speed that up.
