When one thinks of Amy Winehouse, the word "baby" should not come to mind.  I swear, no matter how hard I try, picturing Amy as a mother - it's beyond all human comprehension.  The girl can't even take care of herself, let alone another human being, who, hello?, needs taking care of!  She was seen recently with horribly, disgusting dirty feet - seriously, if you can't wash your own feet, you're not capable of feeding, changing, and bathing another, totally dependent person.  Yet, "baby" is going to be a part of Amy Winehouse's life....

Amy's dad, Mitch, has been speaking a lot lately about his drug addicted daughter and her progress (?) and her eagerness to make babies.  He said that his daughter and her husband Blake Fielder-Civil, 26, will start a family when Blake is released from prison.

He said, "When it comes to Amy, I'm hopeful.  I think she'll be fine, and if Blake's out of prison in a year, they'll be having a family."  Does this scare you as much as it scares me?

Blake's been locked up for 7 months and his trial began last week.  He's admitted to assault and perverting the course of justice and he could face up to five years in the slammer.  However, no matter, Amy is going to wait it out.  Her dad said, "Amy understands Blake might have to do a long time in prison - she's not stupid.  But she'll stand by him and he'll stand by her."

Amy's dad also spoke about his anger towards his son-in-law concerning the video footage of Amy, 24, singing a racist song, taking drugs and performing sex acts on her husband - which, by the way, was filmed by Blake.  Amy asks him to stop filming at one point.

Said Mitch, "It was Amy’s memory card, which was stolen from her camera a few months ago.  It was taken during the height of their drug use, but I'm angry. Blake should be looking after Amy, not filming her when she’s worse for wear."

Amy's father holds on to hope, that his daughter will get well again.  Although, he admits that her rehab stint a few months ago didn't work, he's positive the future is brighter.

"She didn’t want to get clean then, but she’s talking about it now. She’s nowhere near as bad as she was. A nurse visits twice a day and we’re kept well informed about how she’s doing.

"She’s making progress. She wants kids and knows she can’t be taking drugs, or the baby would be addicted – she wouldn’t do that."

Yikes, I'm still scared.
