... you know, when they said that they had a source at the hospital and that their source was reliably reporting that the babies had been born? And that even though the Brangelina camp denied it and said that there was a fake source pretending to be an assistant and so don't believe what you hear? And how ET was dead-set adamant that their story was sound, and that their source was good, and so they refused to retract or back down from that story?
Well, they've finally backed down. Sort of. They didn't exactly issue a retraction, but they did say this:
“Although [Jolie’s obstetrician Dr. Michel Sussmann] did not reveal an
exact due date, he did say that the twins will arrive soon. ETonline
had previously been given false information about the birth, but are
happy to report that her doctor has now confirmed to us that the twins
will arrive “in the weeks to come.”
Ah. So they didn't get the story wrong, they were 'given false information.' Not their responsibility at all, then, is it?
What a bunch of weiners. I'm happy to admit when I get a story wrong - no skin off my nose. Gossip media get stories wrong all the time. Hell, it's part of the fun.
I guess ET didn't get that memo. They must think that they're, like, serious news or some such shit. Which, whatever. Perez, in that case, must be CNN.
