Angelina's ob/gyn has asked media to leave the actress alone and give her some privacy. He did say that there is nothing to be concerned about - there were rumors that something was wrong with her pregnancy, however, the hosptial stay has been planned for some time and it's nothing out of the ordinary, especially with a multiples pregnancy. Dr. Michel Sussmann said, "She is a patient like any other. And she's very simple. I have a lot of respect for her." He continued:
"Mrs. Angelina Jolie and her husband, Mr. Brad Pitt, told me to tell you that she is doing absolutely fine." Ah ha! So they are married, or, um, Dr. Sussman doesn't keep up with celebrity gossip.
"The hospitalization on June 29 was scheduled for a long time. This is not an emergency situation," he said. "Her hospitalization at this stage in her pregnancy is totally normal for a patient who had a caesarean (section) during her first pregnancy."
Dr. Sussman has denied reports that Brad and Angie reserved the whole fifth floor - they did take up four rooms, so there'd be enough space and privacy for them as well as their bodyguards.
"We have reserved four rooms for her and her partner and also for her protection teams. We believe the security concerns they have raised are legitimate. She is a pregnant woman. She is perfectly entitled to protect her privacy. We should let her breathe."
The hospital is doing what it can to make sure the privacy of the celebrity couple is respected. On Tuesday, a sign was placed on the visitor's desk within the lobby that reads: "Journalists are forbiddenn to enter the premises, except with the authorization of the administration."
That translates to LEAVE ANGELINA ALONE.
For now, Brad and the kids will make daily visits to Angie and hopefully all goes well with her delivery.
