Cynthia Rodriguez's last straw was Madonna, and she was the one to leave the famous baseball player.
"Cynthia has left Alex. Let's see if she goes for the divorce. He did make her sign a prenup," says a source, "The
embarrassment over Madonna was the last straw. She flew to Paris to get
out of town before everything blew up between them. There is no affair
with Lenny Kravitz. They are good friends.'"
"Cynthia is a strong person," a close family member says. "But a wife with two young children can only take so much."
The New York Post reported, Rodriguez’s former
trainer Dodd Romero believes the New York Yankee star has been drawn away from his family
by the excitement of Madonna.
“Alex, God bless him, is lost,” says Romero. “I think he got pulled in by the dark side,
if you can say that nicely. He’s totally brainwashed....[Cynthia]
believes that is what ruined the marriage.”
Meanwhile, Alex has emmersed himself in Kabbalah over the last year and has spent time with Madonna and her children. “Alex is very interested in Kabbalah and has gone to the
centers in south Florida and other cities,” the source says. “He is
totally committed to its teachings and is loyal to the organization. He
has an acute understanding of it.”
With her five-year marriage in question, "Cynthia is in good
spirits and is going with the flow," says a close Miami friend of hers.
"She didn’t deny a lot of things are in the air and rumors
are swirling, but she did not elaborate on the state of her marriage.
She said, 'Never a dull moment.'"
