I think there's a nasty storm brewing - storm, as in, the Cynthia & Alex Rodriguez divorce. Allegations of cheating on both sides - he more so than her perhaps, but cheating is cheatng, romps with strippers and music stars and now reports that Cynthia is taking her revenge on her soon-to-be ex-husband, by hitting him where it hurts the most - his bank account and more importantly, their children.
A-Rod sources report that Cynthia has gone on a spiteful spending spree in Paris. Rodriguez allegedly used Alex's credit card to rack up $100,000 worth of goodies and services.
A pal said, "She's been spending wildly. She spent close to $100,000 on her jaunt to Paris." Cynthia flew Dodd and Sabrina Romera, her daughter's godparents, first-class to Paris. She also treated herself to spa treatments and ate out at the very best restaurants. Adds the friend, "She originally was going to head to Spain, where Lenny Kravitz was touring."
Cynthia is also keeping the ballplayer from seeing his kids. The friend said, "Alex desperately wanted to see his children while she was in Paris. She blocked him. She said, 'You cannot see them.'"
Alex's friend continued, "She needs four lawyers in two different states? That's not the dream team, it's the greed team."
Whether these two cheated, or only one of them did or they didn't, I don't know, and okay, they can't repair their broken marriage - but for the love of all that is good, don't take this out on the kids. They deserve both parents!
