Angie And Brad's New Baby!

Posted by HerBadMother

Yeah, so, we really can't tell what's going on behind those blacked-out hospital windows.

Apparently, Angie and Brad have been spending the last days of her pregnancy exploring adopting a child from China. According to the National Enquirer (I know), "Angie and Brad are already talking adoption again. She's devastated over the earthquake that occurred in China, she has been in constant touch with relief workers as part of her U.N. involvement, and even got her hands on photos of a few orphaned kids... She's made overtures to offer a home to one, or even two China earthquake orphans, if they're siblings."

Which, I don't know. All those other reports of her being in complete late-pregnancy meltdown mode, freaking out over salmon and ice cubes? That sounds more likely.

Then again, it is Brad and Angie. Who knows? Maybe the twins will arrive at the same time as a Chinese orphan is dropped off by FedEx.

Wow, if that's true ...

There are loads and loads of Chinese families here that want to adopt earthquake orphans. The government has said that Sichanese families will be given priority. The reasoning is that these kids have been through so much already, they shouldn't have to adjust to a big move to a region with different customs and dialect. On top of that, families who lost their own children in the quake are supposed to be given top priority, and after those come families who are unable to have children. There are way more families wanting to adopt earthquake orphans than there are actual orphans to go around. You have to have a reasonable amount of income in order to adopt a child in China, so I'm unclear as to what they'd be saving these children from. Sure it would be nice to grow up as American royalty but no one needs that. Kids need stable, loving homes, and if they can get that without being uprooted to another country, even the Jolie-Pitts of the world should not stand in the way.

Of course it's probably just rumors anyhow, National Enquirer not exactly being the epitome of journalistic integrity, but food for thought nonetheless.
