Anthony Kiedis Goes Solo

Posted by Whit Honea

Looks like things are no longer red hot for Anthony Kiedis.  The Chili Pepper frontman and his baby mama girlfriend Heather Christie are no longer together.

According to People:

The Red Hot Chili Peppers singer, 45, and Christie, 22, a former model, recently ended their relationship of more than three years and have been living apart since June, according to sources.

How is anyone a former anything at the age of twenty-two?

It sounds like Kiedis is the guilty party in ending the relationship as Christie says, "Anthony is a great dad and I will love him forever for giving me the gift of life. I really hope he finds what he's looking for."

I'm guessing what he's looking for will find him.

He got tired of dating a girl young enough to be his daughter.  I guess he will go for one young enough to be his grandchild next.  Such a great dad.  Great dads stay with the mother of their child and help raise them.

I think it is sad when any couple split up and they have a child or children, but I really thought Anthony was going to settle down this time (giving him the benefit, being a big fan), It is difficult to make a relevant comment when we don't know all the facts yet though.

I read his book and I think he really dont know what hes looking for. But she is too young for him. I dont think he is a good father, child is not a toy. But she was stupid to have a child with man who dont want to mary her. And shes not a famous model... maybe she did it for money and fame.

I think Anthony is just someone who's trying to find what he wants, for a time it would of been her, now its not. Takes all different people in this world, plenty are not as "normal" as the people who get married in their 20's settle down and live out the typical married life.

And thank god everyone is not that normal or else we may not of had the red hot chili peppers and plenty of other great things creative different people have produced.

I've read this book too and I think thats a bit harsh saying that he is not a good dad, for starters no one on here would really know anyway as they don't know him. But from reading his book its fairly clear that he does think about his actions and care for other people, I actually think he would be doing a good job, even if he's not with the mother anymore. Saying someone is not a good parent because they seperate from their partner is an incredibly narrow view. It's not the 1950's , these days people live all different types of ways and in some cases far better.

just because they have split up does'nt mean hes not a good parent. i'm 38 and have a daughter 17 and a son 8. i do'nt particularly like being on my own, but will stay single until; i feel truly in love with someone, and not just because i have kids with them. you need to find true happiness with someone, not just stay with them because thats what society dictates, or what other people think.
