Kevin Costner had to almost lose the one he loved to see she was worth it. Christine Baumgartner loved Kevin but wanted to have a child and Kevin wasn't having any of it.
He was afraid!!

"She said, 'I'm about children. If you want to be with me, if you want
to get married, you should know that's part of my make-up.'
"I woke up and thought, 'Am I going to lose a beautiful woman who is
willing to be with me to my very last breath because I am afraid to say
yes to a child?'
"That's all it took. I decided I was not going to miss out on love."
Good thing he came to his senses, if he didn't, he would have missed out on this.
You can tell she totally adores him and he looks happy! Love conquers all.
