Beck just put out a new CD called Modern Guilt (which on first listen is pretty awesome) and in an interview with Parade magazine he discussed the role that fatherhood has on his songwriting:
How has fatherhood influenced your work? Are any of the songs on this album inspired by your
family?
"Not directly, but like everything in your life it comes out here and there. Having
children shifts your view of things in ways you may not always be conscious of, but it’s there and
I'm sure it’s there in the music."
Is that deep or just a fancy 'no?'
