Rapper MC Harvey was arrested after holding a knife to Javine Hylton's throat and threatening to kill her. Hylton gave birth to the couple's daughter, Angel, in February.
Hylton is said to have been furious with Harvey after he failed to come home one night, so she threw all of his clothes out into the street.
One source told The Sun: "Harvey went nuts and a huge row kicked off. He grabbed a knife in the heat of the moment and threatened to kill Javine, who was terrified." Hylton called 999 and Harvey was subsequently arrested.
A pal revealed: "She regretted calling the police and didn't want Harvey to get in any serious trouble.
"He certainly didn't mean to cause her any harm. Things just got out of hand."
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said:
"Police arrested a 29-year-old
man in Dollis Hill Lane at 00.50am on 28 July following allegations of
threatening behaviour to a woman in her early 20's.
"The man was subsequently cautioned for an offence of common assault."
