People magazine is reporting that singer Jewel and her longtime boyfriend, rodeo champ Ty Murray, eloped to the Bahamas Thursday and were married in a private ceremony. I think she's pregnant, and here's my totally unsubstantiated, but highly logical and probable reason:
Jewel and Murray have been together for ten years, and she said a recent interview that she was in no rush to wed. "We don't know if there's a point – we've lapped our friends who've gotten married and divorced."
But then Jewel goes on to say, "We probably would if we had kids – we're just not sure we want them yet."
And there's your smoking gun! Expect a denial from her rep soon, then a 'no comment' and then lots of pictures of Jewel wearing big tops and carrying a huge purse.
