Isaac Hayes died today in Memphis at the age of 65. He was a well known, Grammy Winning, singer-songwriter. The cause of death is not yet known but, it is known that his wife found him on the floor and unresponsive next to the treadmill in their home Sunday. He was rushed to the hospital and pronounced dead an hour later.
Isaac is survived by his wife (his 4th) 12 children and 14 grand-children.
He was best known for his Grammy win for the The Theme From Shaft and more recently for his voice work as Chef from "SouthPark".
Isaac Hayes filmed a cameo role in Soul Men which is due out later this year.
Eerily enough the film Soul Men also stars Bernie Mac, who also passed away this weekend.
Isaac Hayes will be dearly missed and our hearts and thoughts go out to his family.
