My mother has Sarcoidosis and we live in Louisiana. For so long Doctors has diagnosed her with Cancer because they don't know what it is.After a year a foreign doctor specialized in it because it was so rare. My mother is 54 and she is still alive, but the disease takes a toll on her also. She has developed these scars in her face, severe migraines, and shortness of breath. It feels good to know that she is not alone with this disease.Bernie Mac will be greatly missed.I wish their was a cure for this disease, but there is none, only treatments. And that's not a guarantee that she'll feel better.I love my mother with all of my heart and i want to thank Bernie Mac for getting the word of this disease out. Rest in Peace

I extend my heartfelt condolences to the family of Bernie Mac.  I have been living with Sarcoidosis for 8 years now, and it has not been a walk in the park.  I have suffered greatly, but I am so thankful to Bernie Mac for bringing this disease to light as so many people have not even heard about it.  Knowledge is power and support is golden.  It is my prayer that education will continue and a cure is found.

My prayers are with the "Mac" family. He was truly a one of a kind. In response to orlandoblkman, I was always told do/give because you want to and don't look for anything back in return. You'll find many blessings coming forth your way when you do.

You have my deepest sympathy.  I also have suffered from sarcoidosis 22 years, I have chosen to take the natural approach to sarcoidosis.

The book Eating Right 4 Your Blood Type has been a big help to me this past year.  Also having DNA test done.  Maybe this information can be passed on to the foundation.
