Shelley Malil, the actor who played Haziz in "The 40 Year Old Virgin" with Steve Carell, was arrested on Monday for allegedly stabbing his ex-girlfriend in a vicious knife attack.
Malil reportedly went to his ex's home in San Diego on Sunday evening and found her in the backyard with another man. He then chased her inside and outside the house, stabbing her as many as 20 times. Because that's what normal, rational people do when their ex's decide to move on with their lives.
Even more disturbing, the victim's two young children were in the home at the time and witnessed their mother being attacked.
Malil was arrested at an Amtrak station in San Diego. The victim, who has not been identified, is said to be in critical condition but is expected to survive.
Guess Malil is pretty cranky since he hasn't had much of a career after "Virgin." That is, unless you count his role in two episodes of "Nick Cannon Presents: Short Circuitz." Guess now he'll have to settle for a prison production of Hairspray.
