People Disappointed with Brad and Angelina

Posted by Whit Honea

The cover that launched a billion websites only sold 2.5 million copies.  This is considered a disappointment as People was expecting a few more sales, about 500,000 more.

People spent millions of dollars to obtain the rights to the photos that they featured inside the issue, but it just didn't move like they hoped.  Some people think the world is over the Jolie-Pitt bunch and some people think it is because the cover was faked (allegedly).

What do you think?  Did you buy it?

I think we're all bored with them already.  Adopt a baby, have a baby, adopt a baby, have two babies.  Yeah, yeah.  And I love how they have managed to make themselves seem like the perfect do-gooders by giving the huge sums of money they rack up for baby pictures to charity.  It's great, of course, that they are using it for a good cause.  But let's not forget that they are also getting plenty of publicity and admiration for pimping the baby pics.  It's win win for them.

Of course I didn't buy it and neither did anyone I know.  Of all the people I know (in 5 states), not one of them likes Angelina or Brad, nor will they see any of their movies.  They should stay in France because the only people here in the state that like them are the lunatics on Just Jared.

No way!  The money they donated to "charity" went into their own "Jolie Pitt Foundation" which IS NOT the same as donating to charity.

They donated the six million from the sale of Shiloh's photos to their "Jolie Pitt Foundation", hung on to the money to get all the interest possible, then donated it to causes of their choice and held a press conference announcing that they donated eight million dollars that year.  Far from the 1/3 of their income they brag about giving.

I don't know anyone who likes them and nobody I know sees their movies and definately didn't buy the stupid magazine with their phoney plastic faces on it.

GASP - they took 6 million dollars and, wait for it, allowed it collect interest!  The scandal.  And then, worst of all, they donated it to a charity of their choosing. The horror.  I can barely type the words I'm so annoyed.  Those horrible people donated 8 million dollars . . . just who do they think they are?

(Is the sarcasm obvious enough or do I have to add a *rolling eyes* bit)

I think magazines are on the way out.  The only time I buy mags are when I am flying and I've run out of reading materials I usually bring with me.  I would love to see the pics, but I can do it when I go to the nail salon. (and I am a huge fan of Angelina's!)

I bought the mag simply because taking music and pics and movies for free leaves companies having to close down and then you can not even find them anymore for free or to buy.

i don't live in the states anymore so I probably don't get as much Jolie Pitt stuff thrown in my face as you do in the states but seriously what have these guys done that is so bad to the point where they have to try and make themselves seem as do gooders by donating money? They adopted children which is a great thing to do, can you imagine the lives these kids would have otherwise had? and then they decide to make some babies, what is so wrong with that? and about the photos, so what? I can think of so many other people who cause so much harm to the world. I'm not saying they are angels but why the hatred. Maybe someone can post a comment on what they have done that is so horrible. They donated six million dollars or whatever and that is so horrible because they make so much more? Sam Walton (founder of walmart) has kids who are gazillioners- do you  know that walmart collects money from their employees for charity as well and that this money far exceeds that walton's kids donate to charity? How many of you donate money or time to charity, and how whould you feel if someone (who doesn't even personally know you) called you fake or attention hogger or accused you of not donating enough money bcecause you have a lot of it. Don't hate, bcos it really makes you all sound jealous and pathetic.
