Nicole Richie, how motherhood has changed you.
Nicole was probably a nice/good/helpful/charitable person before she had Harlow but kept it well hidden amongst DUI's and wrong way freeway driving. When she realized she was pregnant I'm sure she had a moment of clarity, like we all do when pregnant. In this moment she realized that the world wasn't just a "Simple Life" and that there were others out there that weren't as fortunate as she is.
In January she and Joel Madden, Harlow's daddy, established the Richie Madden Children's Foundation. Their foundation helps those that don't have the basic things like food and clothing. The charity is designed to help mothers that are struggling to raise their children, I assume it also helps those fathers who struggle by themselves when mom isn't in the picture.
A source tells the New York
Daily News, "She's hired some pretty high-powered consultants to advise
her and put it all together. The website will be a registry, like for a
bridal or shower registry, where low-income women list things they need
for their babies. More well-off people will then go on and buy stuff
for the children."
It sounds like a good cause and the right people are in place to carry out the plan to fruition.
