As we reported a few days ago, Jade Goody - mother of two - has cervical cancer. Jade found out about the cancer while on India's version of "Big Brother." She is now getting medical tests after a tumor was found on her womb. Today she should know if the cancer has spread to any of her other organs, and that will determine whether she needs a full hysterectomy.
Now she says that doctors might have caught the deadly cancer sooner. When she was hospitalized from sudden bleeding weeks before she went onto the reality show, an abnormal smear test came back.
"They'd sent a letter to me ages ago telling me I needed to go in, but I'd been too scared to come in and do anything about it."
We're all pulling for Jade and hope this comes as a lesson to us all. Abnormal results may come out to be nothing, but we need to get these things looked at when the doctor tells us to.
