James Bond actor punched his pregnant wife? Wow – that’s a pretty serious allegation.
James Bond actor George Lazenby, 68, is in the middle of a nasty divorce battle – he and his current wife, tennis champ Pam Shriver are fighting for custody of their three young kids. Now in the midst of his current mess, Lazenby’s ex-wife Christina Master has filed papers, claiming that when she and Lazenby were married, he was a drunk and that he physically abused her (and their daughter Melanie), and even hit her while she was pregnant.
Master alleges that the former 007 star punched her in the face when she was five months pregnant and broke her nose and this was also when their son, Zack, was dying of cancer.
She finally left Lazenby in 1994 and would have done so sooner but she claims he threatened to kill her when she asked for a divorce, so she stayed out of fear for her life and that of her children.
Their grown daughter, Melanie, 34, claims that her dad, “tormented me, humilated me, hurt me physcially, scarred me emotionally.” She says that one time her father shoved her head in a toilet and pointed a gun at her after she missed coming home on time.
Lazenby has denied all allegations, saying that they are “contrived, unfounded and without merit.”
He added through his rep, “I wish Christina would show me a medical report, x-ray and pictures that show I broke her nose. I never punched her in my life.”
He denies the claims made by his daughter as well, saying he was sorry, “that he ignored Melanie from the time she was 12 years old” while he cared for his dying son, and says that he “did not have one drink” while he looked after Zack.
Lazenby’s son with his ex-wife, was sick with cancer at 11-years-old and passed away at age 19 in 1994.
He adds, “Melanie is always seeking revenge for that mistake. I never thought a family member would kick me when I was down.
George’s wife Pam Shriver has filed court papers claiming that he is an abusive drunk who at times, tried to give their young children alcohol and that he threatened to kill her.
Lazenby says that his wife was hooked on prescription painkillers, sleeping pills and booze and often drove their children while in a “stupor.” Shriver has of course denied the allegations. George claims that his current wife purposely contacted his ex-wife and daughter during this year’s French Open as she “was preparing secretly for a divorce.”
Lazenby said that his wife is using his family against him “but it is not working.” He also wondered if his daughter was “on her medication for her bipolar disorder when she met with Pam.”
Good Lord – quite a case of she said, he said, and she said. I feel sorry for George and Pam’s kids – George Jr, 4, and twins, Kaitlin and Samuel, 3. They’re the real victims here.
